We're based in Port Washington, Wisconsin, and work throughout Ozaukee County, Milwaukee County, Washington County and Sheboygan County — including Grafton, Cedarburg, Mequon, Saukville, Milwaukee and the surrounding lakeshore communities. If you don't see your town listed, email and ask.

Period restoration is our specialty. We bring a home back to its original glory while keeping its historical character intact, rather than cutting corners with cheap materials that cover up or destroy what makes the house worth keeping. Our very first project was a 1907 Victorian.

Al Schmucker started in the construction and remodeling trade over 35 years ago as a carpenter’s apprentice, and founded Olde World Restoration LLC with his wife Mary in 2004.

Both. Our work runs from complete kitchen and whole-home remodels down to a single replacement window or a repair — clients have used us for major renovations and for small additions and fixes alike.

Usually, yes. We take real care keeping the environment clean and livable if you decide to stay in your home during a remodel or addition, and we leave the house neat at the end of every day.
